New Xiaomi compact Bluetooth 6.0 speaker rolling out globally

The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Essential has been released in various markets worldwide. This portable speaker, which is somewhat similar to the earlier Redmi Bluetooth Speaker 2, appeared on the brand’s global website in February 2026.

You can now buy the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Essential in the UK for £12.99. Plus, a product listing on the brand’s German website points to an imminent wider rollout in this region. The speaker is also available in South American countries like Peru (PEN 59) and Chile (CLP 12,990). Customers can choose between two colorways: Black with an accent orange strap or Green with a matching strap.

Xiaomi’s Bluetooth Speaker Essential is a dual-driver model, with a 1.5-inch full-range speaker and a large passive radiator. Users can pair two units of the 5W speaker for stereo sound, or they can connect up to ten units for an enhanced listening experience across a larger area. Other features include a Bass Boost mode and its ability to act as an external speaker to a laptop or tablet when connected via USB. 

This Xiaomi Bluetooth 6.0 speaker is equipped with a 1,000 mAh battery, which should allow the portable gadget to run for around ten hours between charges. The portable speaker has a round design with a fabric mesh cover on one side. This is a compact model, measuring 9.8 x 4.6 x 13.0 cm (~3.86 x 1.81 x 5.12 inches) and weighing 200 g (~7.05 oz). Plus, the Xiaomi Bluetooth 6.0 speaker is rated as IP66 dust and water resistant.
