New Motorola smartphone makes global debut with 5,200 nit AMOLED and 3.5x periscope camera

Motorola has expanded the availability of its direct replacement for last year's Edge 60 Pro (curr. $417 on Amazon). Previously exclusive to India, the Edge 70 Pro joins the Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion that were already available globally. For reference, Motorola also sells the Edge 70 Fusion Plus in Latin America.
To recap, the Edge 70 Pro combines a Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset with a 6.8-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display that peaks at 5,200 nits (1,800 nits HBM). Also, Motorola installs a 6,500 mAh battery globally, which matches its Indian counterpart with 90 W and 5 W reverse wired charging while adding 15 W wireless and 5 W reverse wireless charging.

Also, the Edge 70 Pro contains four 50 MP cameras, including a Sony Lytia 710 sensor as its primary camera. Moreover, Motorola includes the same 122° ultra-wide-angle and f/1.9 aperture front-facing cameras found in the device's Indian release. However, the company has added a 3.5x telephoto camera globally too, which supports up to 50x digital zoom with OIS and an 81 mm equivalent focal length.
Motorola has priced the Edge 70 Pro at €799 (~$935) in the Eurozone. Unfortunately, the company has not clarified whether this pricing includes 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.1 flash storage. Instead, it has confirmed that the device will reach Europe in Pantone Zinfandel and Pantone colour options.
