Edge 70 Fusion Plus: Motorola releases new 5G mid-range smartphone with 3x telephoto

Motorola has quietly updated the Edge 70 series after launching the Edge 70 Fusion earlier this month. After also unveiling the Edge 70 in October 2025, Motorola has now pivoted to the Edge 70 Fusion Plus. Stylised as the Edge 70 Fusion+ 5G, the device is only listed in Brazil so far.
However, we would expect Motorola to expand availability to other markets soon, even if that only extends to South America. In the meantime, Motorola Brazil confirms that a few crucial features separate the Edge 70 Fusion Plus from the existing Edge 70 Fusion. Please note that the latter contains different hardware in India than in other countries.

With that in mind, the Edge 70 Fusion Plus carries across the 5,200 mAh battery and 68 W wired charging from the global Edge 70 Fusion. Conversely, the new device leverages the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 from the Fusion's Indian release, which can also be found in the Poco M8 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus (curr. $409.99 on Amazon).
Likewise, the Edge 70 Fusion Plus utilises the same 6.8-inch and 144 Hz AMOLED display as the Edge 70 Fusion. The new smartphone swaps the latter's camera hardware for a 3x telephoto camera (10 MP), as well as 50 MP primary (Lytia 710), ultra-wide-angle and front-facing cameras. Motorola sells the Edge 70 Fusion in Pantone Blue Surf and Orient Blue colours for BRL 2,969 (~$570) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
