It looks like the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models will not be getting a design overhaul, at least for the front, as previously expected. There have been rumors debunking those claims and now another leaker has reiterated the same.

There have been quite a few leaks about the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, particularly related to their design. Some claimed that the new phones will get a redesigned front after several years of the same. But now, it’s starting to look like the design of the iPhone 18 Pro phones will be “largely unchanged” compared to their predecessors.

The latest information, once again comes from Digital Chat Station who claims that Apple is reusing the molds from the previous generation (iPhone 17 Pro) to manufacture the iPhone 18 Pro. This means the Dynamic Island will be “largely unchanged” as the leaker mentions. Unfortunately for those hoping for a reduction in the size of the pill, both the size and the shape will remain the same.

Recent rumors suggested that Apple is switching to a hole-punch design for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, located at the top left corner. On top of that, it was said that an infrared sensor with Face ID will be hidden under there, and the Dynamic Island will be no more. Another rumor claimed that there will be an invisible infrared sensor in the upper left corner of the display along with a smaller Dynamic Island. Digital Chat Station points out that this has now been delayed to the following generation, i.e. iPhone 19 Pro.

The leaker adds that there will be some upgrades coming with the iPhone 18 Pro like the A20 Pro chip based on 2nm architecture, a larger aperture camera system, and over 5,000 mAh battery – likely only for the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

It should be noted that these are all rumors at this point, regardless of the credibility of the leaker. Apple, as usual, has not shared any information about the upcoming phones.
