Vivo ended last month by introducing the X300 Ultra in its home market. On the one hand, the handset challenges the Galaxy S26 Ultra, OnePlus 15 (curr. $899 on Amazon) and other flagships on performance. On the other hand, it also seeks to surpass its peers with superior camera hardware and software.
Now, Vivo has announced that some of its latest camera software improvements are headed to its other recent flagships. Posting on Weibo, Vivo has confirmed that three new features will be distributed in this month's over-the-air (OTA) update. Additionally, a fourth is due to arrive in June's update, which appears to be Vivo's answer to Apple's Photographic Styles functionality.
In the meantime, Vivo has already added this Photographic Styles alternative to its default Gallery app. As the images below show, Vivo has also redesigned this app's layout with more customisable album layouts and options for grouping photos by media type or date.
Moreover, the same app will contain expanded watermarking options once updated, including new 'nostalgic' and 'retro' templates. Currently, Vivo is only offering these new features to the X300, X300 Pro and the X200 Ultra. However, Vivo plans to expand availability to more models later this year.
