Nova Flip: Pricing and launch information revealed for budget foldable smartphone

Various Adnroid OEMs have reduced the barriers to entry in recent years when it comes to clamshell foldable smartphones. For instance, Motorola sells the Razr 60 globally (curr. $599 on Amazon) for significantly less than the Galaxy Z Flip7 or the Razr 60 Ultra. Incidentally, it looks as though Motorola is on the verge of launching the Razr 70 series.

In the meantime, Ai+ has introduced the Nova Flip. Equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, the Nova Flip also utilises a 4,325 mAh battery that supports 33 W charging, a 50 MP primary camera and a 6.9-inch foldable display. As the photo below shows, Ai+ includes a long cover display too that is said to measure 3-inches diagonally.

If all this feels familiar, that may be because the Nova Flip appears to be a re-branded Nubia Flip 2. Initially, the company revealed that the device would retail for INR 29,999 (~$325) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. However, the Nova Flip has since appeared on the Flipkart app for INR 49,999 (~$540). Unfortunately, Ai+ has not elaborated further yet. It is unclear whether the Ai+ Nova Flip will be available internationally, either.
