Xiaomi confirms new budget smartphone launching globally

Hardly any time has passed since Xiaomi started selling the Redmi A7 in India. Announced in mid-April, the Redmi A7 then went on sale a week or so later. Incidentally, the same was true for the more expensive Redmi A7 Pro 4G, too. Currently, we cannot find any references to the Redmi A7 Pro 4G outside of India.
In the meantime, Xiaomi is selling the Redmi A7 Pro globally with a 5G capable modem (curr. $119 on Amazon). Now, it has indicated that the Redmi A7 4G will be available internationally as well. Specifically, the company has listed the Redmi A7 4G on its global website.
In the process, it has confirmed that the device will be available outside India with a 6.88-inch and 120 Hz display that delivers up to 450 nits peak brightness. The Redmi A7 4G contains a 5,200 mAh battery globally too, as well as a Unisoc T7250 chipset and a 13 MP rear-facing camera. Moreover, Xiaomi clarifies that the handset will be available in an extra colour internationally, but only with 3 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage.
Currently, the company plans to offer the Redmi A7 in Black and Sky Blue, as it already does in India. Additionally, its global website shows an Orchid Purple version, which we have included in the image above. From the company's Indian pricing, we suspect that the Redmi A7 4G will reach the Eurozone for around €109. Exactly when remains to be seen at this stage, though.
