New Garmin smartwatch beta update resolves heart rate issue

Garmin is rolling out beta version 13.23 to users of the Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. This update arrives shortly after the release of versions 13.18 and 13.22, which had identical change logs stating that users of the Instinct Crossover would receive a new watch face design.
The release notes for beta version 13.23 list just one bug fix for users of the Garmin Instinct 3 and related wearables. The company has resolved an issue linked to the smartwatch's ability to broadcast heart rate data. As reported in the Garmin Forum’s dedicated Beta Bugs section, this could cause the watch to crash unexpectedly.
Beta software version 13.23 has been shared with Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover smartwatches over the air. According to a recent Garmin Forum post, this has been pushed to all users and should be received when you next connect to the Garmin Connect Manager smartphone app via Bluetooth or the Garmin Express on your computer.
It remains to be seen when a stable version of the 13.xx software will begin rolling out to users of the Instinct 3 (45 mm curr. $449.99 at Amazon), who are not enrolled in the Beta Program. As a reminder, this is expected to bring a new Treadmill Walk activity and Morning Report customization options for Instinct 3 and Instinct E users, and support for Pack Weight in certain activities for the Solar, AMOLED and Crossover smartwatches.
