Ark 2-in-1: New larger Android tablet launching with dedicated desktop mode

The Android tablet segment has not adopted current-generation silicon yet. As it stands, a handful of Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered tablets exist like the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and the OnePlus Pad 3. Meanwhile, Samsung has opted for the Dimensity 9400 Plus with the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
Now, start-up Brave has confirmed that it will soon be bringing an alternative of its own to market. Specifically, the Ark 2-in-1 leverages the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a 4nm and octa-core chipset already used in the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro (curr. $469 on Amazon). On its website, Brave clarifies that the 2-in-1 also features 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable storage.

Setting that aside, the Ark 2-in-1 is said to contain a 14,550 mAh battery too, within a housing that measures 291.6 x 191 x 7.6 mm. Moreover, the 2-in-1 features a 12.95-inch IPS display that combines a 144 Hz refresh rate with 700 nits peak brightness and a 2.8K resolution.
Also, the device offers software features like a dedicated desktop mode, which can output to an external monitor via its USB Type-C port. The Ark 2-in-1 will go on sale from 06:30 UTC on February 6. Currently, the 2-in-1's distribution will be limited to Amazon India, with no word on international availability yet.
