New 2026 Legion gaming tablet rival tipped to launch soon with familiar high-end specs

Digital Chat Station, a reliable Weibo tipster, has shared a report about a high-performance gaming tablet that's set to launch in H1 (first half) of 2026. It will reportedly be a rival to the upcoming 2026 Legion tab, which Lenovo has recently teased.
The tipster didn't reveal the name of this Legion gaming tablet rival, but shares that it's expected to feature the same flagship-grade processor, which is reportedly the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This SoC can offer better performance than the Snapdragon 8 Elite and is already powering devices like the OnePlus 15R and Motorola Signature.
In the report, Digital Chat Station also mentions that this unspecified gaming tablet will feature an 8.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and "3K" resolution. These are the same set of specs that the display of the upcoming Lenovo Legion pad is expected to have.
Other than that, the tipster says that this gaming tablet will have dual speakers with audio tuning, dual X-axis motors, and a 9,000mAH battery (165W Anker 25K power bank curr. $104.99 on Amazon). These could enhance the gaming experience further, but there's no mention of what the cooling setup of the tab will be like. It's also unclear whether there will be gaming-focused enhancements on the software.
While Digital Chat Station didn't share the name of this gaming tablet, it's speculated to be the Redmi K Pad 2. To look back, Xiaomi launched the first-gen model with the Dimensity 9400+, and it was later rebranded as the Xiaomi Pad Mini for the global market. More details about this 2026 Legion Y700 gaming tablet could emerge soon.
