Suunto has relaunched one of its popular smartwatches with a new version. A limited edition release, the new model pays homage to a classic Suunto wristwatch while also celebrating the company's 90th anniversary. The new Suunto Vertical 2 goes on sale in early March.

Suunto has updated the Vertical 2 after its debut in September 2025 (curr. $599.99 on Amazon). Like Garmin before it with the Venu X1, this new version is merely a visual refresh. However, it is also a strictly limited edition variant, unlike the Venu X1 Soft Gold with Titanium Caseback.

Incidentally, this new version of the Vertical 2 only comes with a titanium finish, too. Designed to commemorate Suunto's 90th anniversary, the Vertical 2 Titanium is also said to draw inspiration from the company's classic Vector mountaineering watch. This homage goes as far as the Vertical 2 Titanium's exclusive dial though, which complements its orange case elements.

Elsewhere, the new release remains unchanged. Thus, it contains a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a large enough battery to last up to 65 hours in performance mode. Moreover, the smartwatch comes with over 115 pre-installed sports, an integrated LED flashlight and superior heart rate tracking than older models.

Suunto has confirmed that only 1,936 units will be sold worldwide. Sales begin on March 10 through the company's website and selected retailers. The Vertical 2 Titanium Limited Edition retails for €799 (~$945), including VAT.
