The OnePlus 15 is the company's latest flagship smartphone, which launched globally in November 2025. Leaks and rumors have already started circulating online regarding its successor. A new leak from reputable tipster Digital Chat Station reveals a major change for the next-gen OnePlus flagship phone.
Writing on Weibo, the tipster suggests that the OnePlus 16 will feature a 200MP sensor. However, the tipster did not specify if the 200MP sensor will be utilized for the primary or telephoto lens. For reference, the company has not used a 200MP sensor on any of its smartphones. The current flagship, the OnePlus 15, features a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Hence, if the 200MP primary sensor leak is true, it could be a major highlight of the OnePlus 16.
The OnePlus 15 brings notable changes over the OnePlus 13, placing a stronger focus on performance. For example, it features the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a large 7,300mAh battery (Ugreen 20K powerbank curr. $69 on Amazon), and a 165Hz screen. However, the primary and telephoto lenses on the OnePlus 15 have smaller sensor sizes compared to those on the OnePlus 13. Additionally, the Hasselblad tuning is replaced by the in-house DetailMax Engine.
The tipster also hints that the OnePlus 16's camera setup may be identical to that of Oppo's next-gen foldable phone. For now, take this information with caution, as there is currently no official word on the OnePlus 16.
