We have examined the best displays in our smartphone tests across various price ranges. Read on to find out which phones received the highest screen ratings for 2025 in the entry-level, mid-range and high-end segments.

If you're looking for new smartphone with a good OLED screen, you don't necessarily have to buy the best flagship phone currently available. We take a look at the best smartphones in the low, mid and high-price segments. All measurements and further information on the smartphones with our highest display ratings from 2025 can be found in the individual reviews.

Xiaomi Poco M7 Pro 5G wins in the low-end segment with 91.6%

The Poco M7 Pro boasts the best display in a mobile phone under $250 (RRP). Xiaomi equips its entry-level smartphone with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display from Samsung. The refresh rate can adaptively switch between 60 and 120 Hz. Despite its low price, the Poco phone achieves a high brightness of up to 2,118 cd/m². High-frequency PWM dimming is also on board.

Honor 400: 92.9% for the mid-range

The Honor 400 offers a surprising display experience in the mid-range price segment up to $650 (RRP), although current prices have already dropped significantly.

The Honor 400's OLED display measures 6.55 inches, making it one of the more compact models on the market. In our tests, this mid-range phone impressed with its high brightness. The 120 Hz panel reaches a maximum peak brightness of approximately 5,000 cd/m² during HDR playback. Fortunately, Honor uses high-frequency PWM dimming with up to 3,840 Hz to reduce eye strain.

Vivo X200 Pro Mini: Best high-end smartphone with 93.4%

Another surprise is the smartphone with the highest display rating for 2025. Neither the iPhone 17 Pro nor the Galaxy S25 Ultra come close to the rating of Vivo X200 Pro Mini

The Vivo phone has a 6.31-inch OLED display with LTPO technology and a dynamic refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz. Thanks to its high resolution of 1,216p and a pixel density of 461 ppi, the display appears very sharp.

In our measurements using the APL18 test pattern, relevant for everyday use, we registered an impressive peak brightness of 4,526 cd/m², confirming the advertised peak brightness of 4,500 nits. A PWM dimming frequency of 2,160 Hz is also included.

For those who don't want to import a smartphone, the Google Pixel 10 Pro is the best alternative with a rating of 93.3%.
