The Trump T1 Phone was originally announced in June 2026 and was immediately available for pre-order with a $100 deposit. Both the claim that the smartphone was 100% made in the USA and the advertised specifications quickly turned out to be false, and buyers received no refunds. In the following months, the Trump T1 Phone was even advertised with the design of an Apple iPhone 16 Pro or a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
In reality, the Trump T1 Phone is likely based on the Wingtech Revvl 7 Pro 5G, which costs less than half the price of the Trump T1 Phone in China. The smartphone of US President Donald Trump was originally supposed to be delivered in August or September, but this information also proved false. At some point, the launch date was quietly changed to "later this year". 2025 has passed, and there is still no sign of the Trump T1 Phone. Financial Times reached out to Trump Mobile and was informed that the shutdown of US government had caused delays.
While it is true that the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) was unable to certify any new products during the shutdown, this backlog was quickly cleared. For example, the Leica M EV1 was launched in the US in mid-November, just a few days after the end of the shutdown. A spokesperson for Trump Mobile told Android Authority that the T1 Phone is expected to be released at the end of January, but given the manufacturer's repeated lies, such promises should be treated with caution.
