Trump T1 Phone: Specs and price proved inaccurate as manufacturer reveals final design

The Trump T1 Phone was unveiled in mid-June 2025. Priced at $499, the mid-range smartphone offers specifications more in line with far cheaper entry-level devices. Preorders began shortly after its announcement, requiring early buyers to pay a $100 deposit. Just two weeks after its debut, Trump Mobile had already changed its specifications and confirmed that it isn’t “Made in USA” as originally advertised.
In the months that followed, the phone underwent several design changes, despite Trump Mobile initially showcasing a gold model resembling an Apple iPhone 16 Pro or a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (approx. $942 on Amazon). The smartphone missed its promised 2025 launch. Speaking to The Verge, Trump Mobile has now revealed what appears to be the device’s final design (shown in the X post embedded below), with the only planned change for production being the removal of the gigantic “T1” logo.
Trump Mobile executives Don Hendrickson and Eric Thomas also discussed the smartphone’s specifications during the interview. According to them, the information listed on the official product page remains inaccurate, and the actual specifications will be better rather than worse this time around. The Trump T1 will reportedly feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor, 512 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 50 MP front-facing camera, a 50 MP main camera, an ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera.
Even the listed price appears to be incorrect. Whilst listed at $499 on the official website, the device will apparently cost somewhere between $500 and $1,000 at launch. If there’s any consolation, customers who’ve already made a deposit will pay “only” $499 for the phone. Even at that price point, the Trump T1 is barely competitive given its current spec sheet.
