The flagship Xiaomi 17 series was introduced in September 2025. Initially, three devices were launched in China: the standard Xiaomi 17, the 17 Pro, and the 17 Pro Max. Now, the company is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which will sit at the top of the lineup.
Previously, the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra received 3C certification with the model number “2512BPNDAC”. The 17 Ultra’s global variant, bearing the model number “2512BPNDAG”, also surfaced on the IMEI database.
Now, the smartphone has also received Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. The listing reveals that it is powered by HyperOS 3. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), and Bluetooth LE.
Currently, there is no official release date for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. However, it is expected to launch in late December 2025 in China. Meanwhile, the global release may take place in January 2026.
As for the rumored specifications, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Battery capacity is rumored to be around the 7,000mAh mark with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging support (Anker 20K power bank curr. $36 on Amazon). The smartphone's key highlight is likely to be its Leica camera system, which is expected to include a 1-inch sensor.
