Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. It's set to be camera-focused and go against the likes of the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra and Oppo Find X9 Ultra. While the recent reports have already painted a picture of what the design of the smartphone will be like, the device has now broken cover in official photos and video.
As the latest teaser photos reveal, the core design of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will remain the same as that of its predecessor. However, there are some notable refinements, including rounder corners, which should lead to a better hand feel. The camera island remains the same, but the sensor placements are different.
More importantly, as some of the recent reports have hinted, the rear of this upcoming camera flagship will indeed come with a triple-camera setup. To look back, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes with four cameras on the back, and its successor is expected to feature a 1-inch primary sensor that's paired with a 200 MP periscope telephoto.
Recent reports have also suggested that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will come with a 6,800 mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the predecessor. It will reportedly have support for 100 W wired fast charging (Ugreen Nexode 140 W charger curr. $69.99 on Amazon).
Getting back to the recent teasers, they further confirm that the smartphone will be available in three color options in China: Black, White, and Starry Green. The company has also confirmed the Chinese launch date of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. As revealed, it will make its debut in China on December 25, 2025. More details could be officially confirmed before this imminent launch date.
