It seems that Xiaomi is already developing its next Mix Flip clamshell foldable. To recap, the company released the Mix Flip 2 in China just over a month ago. While the Razr 60 Ultra (curr. $1,099 on Amazon) rival has not received a global launch yet, one can import the Mix Flip 2 from various reputable resellers.
By the looks of things, Xiaomi hopes to introduce the Mix Flip 3 less than a year after the Mix Flip 2. According to popular Weibo account Experience more, Xiaomi is developing its next Mix Flip device under the model numbers 2603APX0AC and 2603EPX2DC, which are both Chinese-exclusive devices. Additionally, the leaker adds that the Mix Flip 3 has been assigned the codename 'Pixiu' and internal designation 'P8'.
From these model numbers, we can infer an intended release date of around March 2026. However, its exact launch may be a month or two later, as was the case this year with the Mix Flip 2 that Xiaomi associates with the model number '2505APX7BC'. Nonetheless, even a May arrival for the Mix Flip 3 would be two months earlier than the Mix Flip 2.
Experience more indicates that the Mix Flip 3 will support satellite connectivity too. Just like the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Satcom Edition, this connectivity option may be restricted to a limited edition model. To that end, we suspect that one of 2603APX0AC and 2603EPX2DC relates to the Mix Flip 3 Satcom Edition at this stage.
