The Oppo Find N5 impressed us when we reviewed it thanks to its long battery life and decent performance wrapped in an 8.9 mm thick body that weighs 229 g. However, the Find N5 is nearing six months old and has since been usurped on all fronts by the Honor Magic V5, Vivo X Fold5 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 (curr. $1,884 on Amazon).
In response, Oppo has sanctioned two of its executives to begin teasing what it has next in store for its foldable division. Shared on Zhou Yibao's Weibo account and embedded below, the video actually focuses on what Apple could bring to the table with its long-rumoured and so-called iPhone Fold. Allegedly launching next year, the iPhone Fold is expected to return to the form factor Oppo abandoned after the Find N2.
In the meantime, both Zhou Yibao and Cheng Xiaoxue have teased that the Find N6 and Find N7 are already in development. At this stage, neither revealed anything specific about either device. Instead, the pair implored fans to stay tuned, having suggested that Oppo's foldables would offer a better overall experience than Apple's. In other words, we would not rule out Oppo returning to its shorter foldable form factor with one of these releases as a way to rival Apple's first foldable iPhone.
