Honor has just unveiled the Magic V Flip2 with the largest battery capacity of any modern clamshell foldable. As we discussed during yesterday's official launch, the Magic V Flip2 also surpasses its peers with a 200 MP primary camera. However, it falls short on performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite-backed Razr 60 Ultra (curr. $1,099 on Amazon) and Mix Flip 2.
Nonetheless, Xiaomi has decided to refresh the Mix Flip 2 with a Limited Edition model. Arriving less than 24 hours after the Magic V Flip2, the Mix Flip 2 Diamond Limited Edition does not make any internal changes from its standard counterpart. Instead, Xiaomi distinguishes the pair with visual tweaks.
On the one hand, the Limited Edition model gets its name from a lab-grown diamond that Xiaomi has set into the device's mid-frame. On the other hand, the new variant features a 'technological nano leather' back panel overlaid by a metallic nameplate embossed with Xiaomi's branding. Currently, Xiaomi is offering its Mix Flip 2 Diamond Limited Edition with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for CNY 6,999 (~$975) in China. There is no word on international availability, though. Please see our Mix Flip 2 review for a detailed look at Xiaomi's latest clamshell foldable.
