Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold official with Tensor G5 and larger battery

Google's newest foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is finally here, although there isn't much left to the imagination after a spate of leaks revealed pretty much everything. Nevertheless, there are some surprises in terms of quality-of-life features. Unfortunately, all of it comes with a premium price tag. It is powered by a Google Tensor G5 SoC- the first of its kind to be manufactured on a TSMC node.

Pixel 10 Pro specifications

For starters, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold comes with an 8-inch inner OLED display with a resolution of 2076 x 2152 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate (adaptive), up to 1,800 nits HDR brightness, and 24-bit colour depth. Google says it is built with ultra-thin glass and two layers of anti-impact, and that it is suitable for up to ten years of operation. The cover display employs a 6.4-inch OLED panel (1080 x 2364) with the same specs.

Google claims the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's 5,015 mAh (typical) battery can last up to 30 hours on a single charge. It supports up to 30 Watt charging over a cable and 15 Watts wirelessly (Qi 2). Pixelsnap, Google's version of MagSafe, allows it to snap onto a charger even when it is unfolded. Memory is fixed at 256 GB across the board, with storage starting at 256 GB and ramping up all the way to 1 TB.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold comes with a 48 MP wide-angle lens (f/1.7, 1/2" sensor), 10.2 MP wide-angle lens and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. All three sensors use the power of AI to achieve 20x SuperRes zoom. The same 10 MP selfie camera is used on the inner and cover display. Video recording is capped at 4K 60 FPS and slow-motion video at 240 FPS. While extremely niche, they are notable downgrades compared to offerings from competitors. Google attempts to remedy this by offering a plethora of AI-powered goodies.

Other Pixel 190 Pro specs include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G, a USB 3.2 port, a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, and notably an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. However, Google explicitly states the rating will be 'lost' over time with daily wear and tear. Additionally, liquid damage will automatically void your warranty.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold Price and availability

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold can be pre-ordered now in two colour variants (Moonstone and Jade) from Google's website, starting at $1,799 for the base variant. Unfortunately, it won't be available until October 2025, unlike the Pixel 10 trio that debuts next week on August 28.
