Honor, Samsung and Vivo have all released new foldables in the last few weeks. Of these, only the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the X Fold5 are available internationally. However, Honor should soon introduce a global version of the Magic V5 too.
On top of that, Google is expected to replace the Pixel 9 Pro Fold with a direct tenth-generation successor. According to Android Headlines, Google plans to bring a few upgrades to this year's foldable that have not been the subject of recent leaks. For instance, the cover display is now rumoured to grow by 0.1-inches to 6.4-inches in a change that will see the Pixel 10 Pro Fold coming up 0.1-inches short of the Galaxy Z Fold7 (curr. $1,999.99 on Amazon).
Apparently, Google has achieved this upgrade by reducing bezel thickness rather than adjusting overall dimensions. As a result, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will likely retain the 8-inch foldable panel size of its predecessor. Moreover, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is tipped to arrive with a 7.8% larger battery totalling 5,015 mAh and a 10% brighter cover display.
Currently, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is rumoured to be launching on August 20 with two colour options and a choice between 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. Prices are said to be ranging between €1,899 and €2,289 (~$2,215/$2,670), all with Google's Tensor G5 chipset and IP68 certification against dust and water.
