Some of the highest-end mobile devices to launch later in 2025 are thought to rock new Real RGB panels from TCL. The display technology is made using a cutting-edge Inkjet Printing (IJP) technique touted to boost color accuracy while potentially cutting manufacturing costs. Now, the process is thought to churn out on-trend tandem OLED screens.

TCL has been teasing the benefits of its IJP OLED technology for smartphones or tablets for several years now, and is reportedly finally ready to unleash it from late 2025 in the form of Real RGB OLED.

The technology is now projected to be joined by its tandem (or "dual-layer", as it is sometimes known) counterpart on its upcoming debut. It is already touted to boost brightness in existing devices such as the iPad Pro 13 (now starting at $1,185.22 on Amazon).

TCL's new version might also be able to boast improved dynamic range as well as a potentially wider range of colors.

Real RGB Tandem OLED has reportedly been taken up by Oppo for its next-gen Android range. The first device with the technology is slated to debut alongside successors to the Find X8, X8 Pro and top-end X8 Ultra smartphones, not to mention the foldable Find N5.

Oppo's inaugural "Real RGB Tandem OLED" device is also believed to debut in the same year as the upcoming K13 Turbo series of mid-range smartphones backed to launch with water- and dust-proof active cooling systems.
