TCL CSOT has announced that its state-of-the-art Inkjet Printed (or IJP) process is ready for prime-time in the form of Real RGB OLED.
The new manufacturing method is credited with the ability to produce panels with the most optimal (or "super retina-level" pixel array to date, resulting in OLED with a particularly broad color gamut and dynamic range.
The new kind of panel is also touted to achieve exceptionally high ("million-level", apparently) contrast. TCL CSOT is allegedly ready to put it into mass production in the second half of 2025.
If Real RGB OLED has 1 drawback in its leaks to date, it is that it is not ready to fit compact smartphones quite yet.
It is currently slated to be ready for smartphones that might fit the description of successors for the ~6.5-inch Vivo X200 and ~6.8-inch X200 Pro, but not that of the 6.31-inch X200 Pro Mini, by October 2025.
