The TCL Flip 4 is positioned as an alternative to the HMD Global's Nokia 2660 Flip and specifically targets users who are looking for some basic features but would like to avoid the distractions of modern smartphones. The TCL Flip 4 runs on KaiOS 4.0 and offers many Google apps, including an email app and a web browser. However, WhatsApp no longer works on this operating system.
The feature phone is further equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s processor and an integrated 5G modem, complemented by 1GB RAM and 32GB mass storage, which can be expanded via microSD. The 3,000mAh battery is expected to last 15 days on standby, 52 hours while actively using the phone or 40 hours while taking phone calls. The battery can be fully charged via USB Type-C in approximately two hours.
The flip phone also features an integrated MP3 player and supports both wired and Bluetooth headphones. Moreover, the secondary 1.77-inch TN panel can display incoming messages and calls. When the phone is flipped open, the 3.2-inch main display offers a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and a brightness of up to 400 nits. The 5MP camera on the back can record 720p video at 30 frames per second.

The TCL Flip 4 will hit the US market with an MSRP of $79.99. TCL has yet to confirm a price or release date for other regions.
