Deal | Refurbished Google Pixel Fold available for under $600 in limited-time sale

Despite being unveiled alongside the Pixel 10 trio, the shiny new Pixel 10 Pro Fold won't hit shelves until next month. Till then, those on the lookout for a Pixel-branded foldable smartphone will have to make do with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. If spending anything over $1,000 on a smartphone seems frivolous, the original Pixel Fold from 2023 just might be the phone for you.

Currently, you can snag one for just $580 over at Woot. Do note that it is not a new Pixel Fold. The box has been "opened due to being a photo sample, a tested working customer return or having damaged packaging." Essentially, it is a refurbished device, but it comes with a one-year manufacturer's limited warranty. The variant in question has 256 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM. It is only available in the Obsidian (Black) colour variant.

Other Pixel Fold specs include a Tensor G2 SoC, a 7.6-inch, 120 Hz OLED primary display, a 5.8-inch cover display with the same specs, a 48 MP wide-angle lens, a 10.8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8 MP selfie camera on the cover display, a 9.5 MP module on the primary display, and a 5,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. The Pixel Fold was Google's first attempt at a foldable, and it was not without issues.

Our in-depth review praised it for its colour-accurate display, solid camera performance (although the lack of a telephoto lens is disappointing), and long-term software support. However, its Tensor G2 SoC is a bit lacking and cannot keep up with competitors from Qualcomm and MediaTek.

Nevertheless, $580 is an excellent price for a foldable smartphone, and the Pixel Fold would make for a great first foldable for someone who doesn't want to spend a small fortune on one. The promotion is only live for four days, or until stock runs out. Given that it is a clearance sale, restocks seem unlikely.
