Earlier today, Igor Bogdanov shared more details about some of the accessories that DJI plans to offer with its next consumer drone. As recent leaks have already established, the drone in question is the Mini 5 Pro as a direct replacement for the Mini 4 Pro.
Now, Jasper Ellens has clarified the capacities of the Mini 5 Pro's official batteries. As expected, DJI has created Intelligent Flight and Intelligent Flight Plus options that will differ in capacities and runtimes. Specifically, Ellens alleges that the former will feature a 2,785 mAh capacity, up from the 2,590 mAh capacity offered with the version sold for the Mini 4 Pro (curr. $99 on Amazon).
Meanwhile, the capacity of the Intelligent Flight Plus battery is said to drop from 3,850 mAh to 3,350 mAh between the Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro. Nonetheless, battery life expectations will grow by 15% to 52 minutes. Apparently prices will drop too, with $69 for the standard Intelligent Flight Battery and $99 for the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. Currently, DJI charges $99 and $149 for Mini 4 Pro variants, respectively. The DJI Mini 5 Pro is tipped to arrive on September 16 with an official teaser likely dropping on September 9.
