Yesterday's rumours that DJI would begin teasing its next consumer drone came to nothing. For context, the company tends to share the launch date for its next product release a week ahead of time. As an example of that, DJI hinted at the Mic 3's arrival exactly a week before officially announcing its latest wireless microphone (curr. $329 on Amazon).
Until now, the consensus was that DJI would unveil the Mini 5 Pro on September 16. Thus, it seemed probable that the company would have scheduled a launch event on September 9. While we are none the wiser about the whereabouts of the Mini 5 Pro and whether it will actually debut on September 18, Roland Quandt has now posted numerous promotional images of the upcoming drone on Bluesky.
Embedded throughout, the images arguably provide the most detailed look yet at DJI's Mini 4 Pro successor. As a result, we can clearly see the Mini 5 Pro's new twist on/off propellers, which are rumoured to retail for $19 or for $69 for a replacement Quick-Release Propeller Guard with propellers included.
Moreover, DJI has printed a noise level rating on the bottom of its Mini drone this time, too. From this, we can determine that the Mini 5 Pro will officially operate at 81 dB, which would match its predecessor and ensure it falls within the EU's drone classifications. Incidentally, independent tests show that the Mini 4 Pro is much quieter than its official rating. Please see the images throughout for more information.
