The Hisense A85H is the company's cheaper alternative to the A9H, another Smart TV based on its Vidaa operating system. Starting at £1,499, the A85H series utilises many of the same features as the A9H, albeit with a less powerful speaker system. As such, the 55A85H and 65A85H feature OLED panels that support 10-bit colour depth, 4K resolutions and native 120 Hz refresh rates. Additionally, the 55A85H and 65A85H offer HDR10+ compatibility and 800 nits of peak brightness with 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes, respectively.
Like the A9H, the A85H series also comes with HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 ports. Incidentally, the latter supports HDMI variable refresh rate (HDMI VRR) for use with current generation games consoles like the PlayStation 5. Elsewhere, Hisense has included USB Type-A ports, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a mini AV input and a modem that supports Bluetooth 5.0 plus IEEE 802.11 ac Wi-Fi. Moreover, the A85H series contains an analogue and digital tuner with a multi-day EPG.
Furthermore, Hisense equips the 55A85H and 65A85H with a combined 60 W speaker system, 20 W less than the A9H. In saying that, the A85H has a stand that allows you to swivel it up by to 50 degrees without moving the whole TV itself. At launch, the 55A85H retails for £1,499, with the 65A85H available for £1,999. Unfortunately, Hisense has not confirmed pricing or availability in other markets yet, such as Europe and the US.
