Philips PicoPix MaxTV projector with up to 120-in HD image launches in Australia
Philips has launched the PicoPix MaxTV projector in Australia. The device was released late last year and is already available in the US, the UK and France. The gadget has a 1.2:1 throw ratio and can cast images up to 120-in wide in True Full HD. The PicoPix MaxTV supports resolutions up to 4K, and TI DLP technology, commonly used in cinemas, ensures a vivid picture with deep contrast and brightness, even in light conditions.
The projector’s battery can last up to four hours between charges in projection mode or ten hours in Bluetooth speaker mode. A Powerbank function allows you to charge devices via the gadget’s USB-C and USB-A ports. You can connect to the projector through these ports or via Bluetooth 5.0. Plus, the portable projector provides an Android TV experience with built-in Google Chromecast.
The gadget has two integrated 12 W speakers; you can connect additional speakers to the device through a 3.5 mm jack. The PicoPix MaxTV has auto-correct features, such as AI-driven smart autofocus, auto keystone and automatic brightness adjustment. The portable projector weighs 1.96 kg (~4.4 lbs) and measures 158 x 150 x 119 mm (~6.2 x 5.9 x 4.7-in). You can now buy the Philips PicoPix MaxTV projector in Australia at JB Hi-Fi for AU$1,495 (~US$1,038).
