Philips Hue Impress: Sleek outdoor smart lights launching soon in US
The Philips Hue Impress outdoor lights have been announced for the North American market. The company describes these products as modern and sleek. This range includes four lights: the Impress outdoor pedestal light, the Impress outdoor wall light, the Impress outdoor wall light (hardwired) and the Impress wide outdoor wall light (hardwired).
All of these dimmable smart lights have a matte black finish, offer white and colored lighting, and Philips suggests that they are easy to install. You can remotely control the lights via the Hue app, with the company indicating that a Hue Bridge is required. Each model offers up to 1,180 lumens brightness at 4,000K and has a light source said to last for up to 25,000 hours,
The Impress outdoor pedestal light is a low-volt product with an 8W bulb and the product is 40 cm (~15.7 inches) tall. For the Impress outdoor wall light, customers can choose between a wired (15.8W) and a wireless low voltage (8W) product. Plus, the hardwired model is offered in a wider size.
You will be able to buy the Philips Hue Impress outdoor lights from mid-February in the US and Canada. In the US, prices will start from $159.99; it is unclear how much the product will cost in Canada. These products are already available in Europe, with prices starting from £134.99/€149.99 (curr. €117 at Amazon DE).
