New cheaper Neomouv Raipon 2 e-bike arrives at Decathlon
Decathlon is now selling the 2024 version of the Neomouv Raipon 2 VTC Bike in France. The company has made various changes to the e-bike, which is available at a lower price than its predecessors.
The 2024 Raipon 2 has the same 250W mid-mounted motor as the older models, with up to 80Nm torque and a pedal sensor to intelligently adjust assistance. The battery capacity has been lowered from 547Wh to 518.4Wh, though the estimated assistance range remains 100 km (~62 miles). The Zoom suspension fork with 65mm travel has been replaced with a SUNTOUR equivalent with 63 mm travel, the Shimano Altus 9-speed derailleur has stayed, and there are hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm discs at the front and rear. On top of this, the Raipon’s high-step-through aluminum frame has been modified and comes light blue rather than khaki. Other features of the e-bike include a color LCD for controls and information such as your speed and remaining battery level, as well as Bluetooth connectivity for further settings and insights in the myNEOMOUV app.
Accessories include a 27kg (~60 lbs) luggage rack, mudguards and lighting. While the listing states that the bike can withstand up to 120 kg (~265 lbs), the e-bike’s weight is not provided; the older model weighs 26 kg (~57 lbs). You can now buy the Decathlon Neomouv Raipon 2 VTC Bike at Decathlon in France for €2,199. That makes it €400 cheaper than the older versions, which cost €2,599. Both sizes, S/M and L/XL, are currently showing in stock on the brand’s website
