Mokwheel Obsidian ST new power station e-bike with torque sensor now available
Mokwheel has launched the Obsidian ST Power Station e-bike in the US. The new model follows the original Obsidian electric bicycle, designed for off-road rides. As its name suggests, the latest version offers a step-through rather than a step-over frame.
Another change for the new Obsidian ST is an adjustable seat offering two positions for additional comfort. The new e-bike also has a lower payload of 350 lbs (~159 kg) rather than 400 lbs (~181 kg) and is said to suit riders who are 5.2 to 6.4 ft (~158 to 195 cm) tall. Otherwise, the model is the same as its predecessor, with a 1,000W rear hub motor with thumb throttle and torque sensor, assisting you at speeds up to 28 mph (~45 kph). The integrated battery allows you to ride with assistance for up to 80 miles (~129 km) and, when used alongside the Inverter accessory, priced at $399.99, can act as a power station. Other features of the 8-speed e-bike include Shimano gearing, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, 4.0-inch fat tires, an LED color display and a 38RC single air valve shock with resistance adjustment.
You can currently buy the Mokwheel Obsidian ST Power Station e-bike in the US with a discount lowering the RRP from $2,899 to $2,199. The RRP matches that of the original Obsidian, which is also on offer for the same lower price.
