Tesla has added a couple of new accessories for the Cybertruck to its ever-expanding roster of add-ons for the electric pickup.
First off, the Cybertruck gets another row of seats, which clip onto the pickup's end point for those long summer tailgate parties.
Jumpseats like these can't really be used safely in motion, but they'd be perfect for tailgate parties, watching sports events, or simply chilling with a beer in hand while watching the sunset somewhere.
The Cybertruck jumpseat contraptions cost $100 a pop, and up to three of them can be installed along the tailgate.
Tesla also adds that these are designed to go with the new Cybertruck Tailgate Shield, that in turn is meant to protect the bulletproof stainless steel body from scuffs and dings when transporting bikes and such.
The shield itself costs $300 and seems to be simply a foam pad that straps over the tailgate. Said pad does come with "molle webbing on the interior side for easy fastening of equipment like the Cybertruck jumpseat," as well as a "combo lock carabiner to lock everything into place," informs Tesla.
Nothing that a $100 tailgate bike pad on Amazon doesn't already offer, but this designated Tesla one comes with the Cybertruck logo.
As for the efforts to make a 7-seater out of the Cybertruck for picnics, watching games, or simply drinking beer at tailgate parties, the $100 "jumpseat is wrapped in a durable Cordura nylon fabric and features cyber-style thermoformed backrest and alloy G-hooks," says Tesla, while informing that the seat is foldable for easier storage when attached to the truck's bed.
