The manufacturer Yaber has introduced a new projector, the K300s, which utilizes three lasers to represent individual colors, promising vibrant color reproduction. According to the manufacturer, the projector achieves 150% coverage of the NTSC color gamut. However, its brightness is relatively low compared to conventional lamp-based projectors, which could be a significant limitation for large projections or use in environments that are not perfectly darkened. The projector can display images ranging from 40 to 120 inches, with a throw ratio of 0.18:1, allowing it to be placed close to the projection surface rather than requiring ceiling mounting.
The K300s offers a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, with automatic focus and keystone correction. Sound is handled by two built-in JBL speakers, each delivering 15 watts of power. The projector supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity, and can be networked via WiFi or Ethernet, enabling the projection of various apps. External devices can be connected through an HDMI port, while USB 2.0 is available for media playback, along with a headphone jack.
A dedicated game mode reduces input lag to under 40 milliseconds, making the K300s suitable for gaming, although it does not advertise a particularly high refresh rate. The Yaber K300s is listed at $1000, with an MSRP of $1200.
