CES 2023 | Xgimi announces Mogo 2 Pro portable projector with seamless auto-focus and auto-keystone
Xgimi is fairly well-known for making solid portable projectors. We have reviewed quite a few of its products and have generally been impressed. Perhaps the greatest strength of Xgimi's projectors is the company's Intelligent Screen Adjustment, or ISA. This features allows the projectors to automatically focus and correct the keystone of an image. The company today announced the next iteration of its ISA tech with the new Mogo 2 Pro.
Xgimi's ISA is a nice quality-of-life feature, making image adjustment simple and quick. The projectors with ISA can automatically focus on image, correct the angle at which an image is projected, and even intelligently find the borders of a projector screen to best fill it. However, the tech has one major drawback. When ISA kicks in, it interrupts whatever it was projecting and displays an adjustment image while it auto-focuses or changes the keystone.
ISA 2.0, which debuts in the Mogo 2 Pro, promises to make the same adjustments as the current ISA tech without interrupting projection. In other words, it won't need to show the adjustment image and can instead continue to project the movie or show you were watching while it makes the adjustments on the fly.
The Mogo 2 Pro is an upgrade to the Mogo Pro in other ways. For one, the Mogo 2 Pro can project at more than 350 ISO lumens, a step up from the Mogo Pro's 300. This brighter lamp makes the Mogo 2 Pro compatible with HDR content as well. The Mogo 2 Pro can project a Full HD (1920x1080) image at up to 200 inches. Despite this, the projector remains portable at 2.2 pounds and 6.54 inches tall.
The Mogo 2 Pro will be on display at CES 2023. Xgimi had yet to release pricing and availability information for the Mogo 2 Pro the time of writing.
