Optoma L1+ 4K ultra short throw projector announced as compact gadget with VRR
Optoma has announced the L1+, a 4K HD Ultra Short Throw Projector. The gadget will be on show at the Taipei International Audio Show later this month. The show runs from December 15 to December 18 at The Grand Hotel. The product is expected to launch officially in early 2023. Little is known about the L1+ projector so far, with further details expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Optoma L1+ is billed as an indoor projector for watching movies and gaming. The company describes the device as compact and one of the lightest in its class, making it easy to move between rooms in the house; exact dimensions and weight for the gadget have yet to be provided. The L1+ is noted as coming with built-in streaming services; however, the specific platforms have yet to be listed. Optoma claims it is the first ultra short throw projector to support VRR, a feature allowing smoother gameplay.
Alongside the new 4K UST projector, Optoma will also showcase its UHZ65LV model. This 4K projector can produce up to 5,000 lumens brightness thanks to a laser light source, with a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Inputs on the device include HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 and VGA ports. The Optoma UHZ65LV retails for US$5,999; the new Optoma L1+ projector's cost is unknown.
