ViewSonic M2W portable projector with 1,700 lumens brightness launches
The ViewSonic M2W portable projector has arrived. The gadget has an LED light source with a maximum brightness of 1,700 lumens and up to 30,000 hours of life expectancy. The projector has a 1280 x 800 px resolution and produces lifelike colors, covering 125% of the Rec.709 color gamut. You can throw images up to 120-in (~305 cm) wide from 3.1 m (~10.2 ft) away, thanks to a 1.2 throw ratio.
Instant auto focus and keystone correction tools help perfect the image quickly, and you can choose with 0.8X to 1.0X digital zoom. Built-in 3W Harman Kardon speakers provide a cinema-style audio experience. You can control the projector via a smartphone app, and the gadget supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, allowing you to mirror screens to the projector.
Alternatively, you can physically connect to the device via HDMI 1.4, USB-A or USB-C ports, linking products like the Nintendo Switch or a laptop. The gadget has a 66 ms input lag and 16 GB local storage. You could also power the device with an external battery via the USB-C port. The portable device measures 225 x 225 x 57 mm (~8.9 x 8.9 x 2.2-in), weighs 1.35 kg (~3.0 lbs), and has a collapsible stepless stand at its base. The ViewSonic M2W projector will retail for around US$755.
