Apple has begun rolling out a new version of macOS Ventura, having also released iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2. Based on Apple's changelog, macOS Ventura 13.1 contains far fewer changes than iOS 16.2 or iPadOS 16.2. However, the former is the largest package size of the three, with a download size nearing 2 GB. Fundamentally, macOS Ventura 13.1 only adds the Freeform app to macOS, although Apple has bundled several bug fixes and minor improvements too.
As the screenshot below shows, Apple describes Freeform as an app that allows people to work collaboratively across Mac, iPad and iPhone devices. However, it is worth remembering that Freeform creates a canvas on which to add files, images and text, rather than documents, spreadsheets or presentations as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides can. Also, Freeform remains an Apple ecosystem exclusive for now, rendering it useless if someone does not have a Mac, iPad or iPhone.
Additionally, macOS Ventura 13.1 improves the Messages app and brings greater Find My accessory support within the Find My app. By contrast, watchOS 9.2 adds a Race Route workout feature, which allows you to compete against your previous efforts when cycling or running. Meanwhile, Apple has added Siri voice recognition with tvOS 16.2. Theoretically, the change allows an Apple TV to automatically change user profiles based on the voice it hears after triggering Siri. Apple Music Sing is also available on tvOS 16.2 as well, albeit only for the latest Apple TV 4K. Apple Music Sing is not exclusive to tvOS though, with Apple also incorporating the feature within iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2.
