Screeneo GamePix 900: Philips releases new 240 Hz gaming projector with launch discount for a short time
Earlier this month, Jmgo presented its long-awaited N1S series of 4K projectors globally at CES 2025, which it sells as the N1S Pro, N1S Ultra and N1S Ultimate (curr. $2,799 on Amazon). In response, Philips and Screeneo have now released the GamePix 900, having showcased the so-called gaming projector during the holiday season.
In the process, Philips has also confirmed more specifications for the device beyond what it revealed in December. For instance, the GamePix 900 will be capable of creating up to 120-inch projections with 95% Rec. 709 colour space coverage and HDR10 support. The projector offers three display modes too, starting with 4K and 60 Hz.
Alternatively, the GamePix 900 supports 1440p/120 Hz and 1080p/240 Hz modes via its single HDMI 2.0 port.
Please note that the projector uses a 0.47-inch DMD chip to reach 4K, meaning that it is a DLP projector and does not output natively in 4K. Other features of the GamePix 900 include 1,000 ANSI lumens peak brightness and 6 ms response times when set to its 1080p and 240 Hz display mode.
The GamePix 900 will begin shipping in April and has been assigned an £819 and $999 MSRP. At launch, the projector can be picked up for £495 or $599 excluding taxes, but only for the first 1,000 orders placed. Please see Philips' website for more details.
