BenQ has announced the new LK835ST 4K short throw laser projector for business use. This model is marketed as adapting to flat or curved surfaces for immersive two or three-dimensional displays.
The LK835ST is a DLP projector with a laser light source that is said to deliver up to 4,000 lumens brightness and run for up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode. This IP5X sealed engine is offered with an optional filter to enhance dust resistance and prolong its life. The projector has a 0.69 to 0.83 throw ratio, and the maximum recommended image size is 150 inches. It is said to cover 95% of the Rec.709 color gamut and users can choose from a range of color modes including 3D, Game, Golf and HDR10. Image perfecting tools include motorized 1.2x zoom, automatic 2D keystone correction, auto screen fit and quick focus. Plus, BenQ’s white balance adjustment tool helps with edge-blending when using multiple projectors.
Customers can choose to add the BenQ Wi-Fi dongle, which allows users to connect a mobile device wirelessly. Ports on the device include two HDMI (2.0b/HDCP 2.2), USB-C and USB-A, and there is also a built-in 10W speaker. The BenQ LK835ST will launch this March for $1,899/€2,699 (or ~£2,540).
