Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 renders hit rumor mill in potentially underwhelming fashion
With its updated, vegan leather-rich build, Motorola touts the new Moto G Stylus 5G as a stylish yet affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Can the 2024 Android smartphone's successor build on its upgraded design? According to a new leak, the answer is...maybe not.
The Motorola Moto G Stylus 2024 is available for as little as $349.99 on Amazon today (August 24, 2024), yet has one of the OEM's up-to-date vegan leather finishes in colors such as Caramel Latte.
The Android smartphone also packs an all-new on-board digital pen (that is not as thin as that of some of its predecessors) and 256GB of internal storage as standard for that price. Accordingly, expectations for its successor might be higher than usual as it gets closer to launch.
Those hopes might be dashed by the alleged first appearance of the "Moto G Stylus 2025" courtesy of MySmartPrice, however. It consists of a render closer in appearance to that of the 2023 iteration of the device, regressing to a glossy type of rear panel and a camera hump that now longer blends into the rest of the rear panel quite so well.
Its edges still appear flattened, albeit without the CNC-machined look of the G Stylus 5G 2024. Regardless, its successor is indeed said to be on the way in this form with the code-namekansas and model number XT251V.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
