Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) arrives as new mid-range and first Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 smartphone
Motorola has launched a third-generation Moto G Stylus 5G, also known as the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023). Not to be confused with the Moto G Stylus (2023), the 5G edition will likely be another North American exclusive. Although Motorola has not confirmed this, its press release is devoid of any non-North American release details; the company did not offer the 2022 model outside the US either.
Regardless, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) is the world debut of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 4 nm chipset that Qualcomm announced late last year. For reference, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 features four ARM Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 1.8 GHz, respectively. Additionally, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) has 6 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 20 W wired charging. Motorola complements these components with a large IPS display, which measures 6.6-inches across with a 2,400 x 1,080-pixel resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Moreover, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) has 50 MP primary, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 16 MP front-facing cameras. The handset will be available in the US first, with a Canadian release to follow. Motorola has confirmed that the device will launch in Cosmic Black and Rose Champagne colourways, both for US$399.99.
