OnePlus "11RT" tipped to launch with same display as OPPO Reno10 Pro Plus
OnePlus has become linked to an upcoming device that seems like a refresh of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered 11 with a lower-res 1.5K display. Now, the latest word on this subject is that it will indeed launch as a Pro version of the Ace 2 in China - however, it is just possible that it will drop that device's up-to-date look for a completely different design.
A Digital Chat Station tip indicating that the Reno10 Pro+ will donate its new, BOE-sourced 6.74-inch 1240p AMOLED display to the "Ace 2 Pro" has led to speculation that the newer device will also go ahead and switch to the rest of the new mid-range series flagship's look, novel two-tone camera hump included.
Accordingly, the putative Ace-series addition is now painted as just another version of the 10 Pro+, just with the 8 Gen 2 in place of the 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
Given that 10T - or the original Ace Pro re-branded for other markets - is officially never getting a successor, it is possible that it might launch under another name ("11RT", maybe?) instead. In the meantime, the 2 Pro is now projected to launch as early as July 2023.
Finally, the "Ace 2 Pro" is also now believed to also have the Reno series' new 100W top charging speed, which would be a downgrade on the 150W SuperVOOC selling-point of the 10T.
