Update: OnePlus has now launched the Ace Pro as 12GB RAM or 16GB versions of the 10T that run ColorOS 12.1, with no 8GB option for whatever reason. The former has 256GB of internal storage, while the latter has 256GB or 512GB SKUs.
They can be pre-ordered from today for 3,499 yuan, (US$518), 3,799 yuan (US$562) or 4,299 yuan (US$636) respectively with OnePlus' new 150W-capable SUPERVOOC charging brick in the box. As for ColorOS 13, the OEM has decided to leave its launch until August 18, 2022, when it can unveil it for all devices eligible for the upgrade worldwide.
Original Artcle: OnePlus' launch its for its latest high-end smartphone is back on. The event is slated to debut the Chinese version of its flagship refresh for 2022. Accordingly, it is expected to have the same specs as the 10T, although it is to be called the Ace Pro in this market instead.
It could be argued that this is a better name for the device, as it will almost inevitably lack Hasselblad branding and mimic its vanilla Ace sibling in supporting the fastest charging tech possible. Furthermore, it is likely to launch with display compromises compared to the full-fat OnePlus 10 Pro, juxtaposed against an updated Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
Therefore, the only surprise to come during OnePlus' freshly re-scheduled August 9, 2022 presentation could be the smartphone's price. Otherwise, the brand just might unveil the latest version of ColorOS based on Android 13, thus mirroring the global launch of OxygenOS 13 during that of the 10T, however unlikely it is that the latest Ace variant ships with the new software or not.
