Motorola has officially announced the Moto G45 5G and has already shared some of the relevant specs with the public. Although a data sheet is not yet available and there is no specific information on the dimensions, weight or battery life, the smartphone is advertised as having a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, an SoC similar to the Snapdragon 695, which combines two fast Cortex-A78 computing cores with six Cortex-A55 computing cores. As usual, this is intended to combine high performance with energy efficiency. It is possible that the smartphone will only be launched as a single model variant, as the product page currently only mentions a configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
A 6.5-inch screen is installed. Motorola specifies a refresh rate of (up to) 120 Hz, which results in a smoother display compared to the 90 Hz often found in entry-level devices. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The pictures show the back, which is apparently made of a material similar to leather, at least in terms of texture. The smartphone is said to support 13 different 5G bands and come with a total of three cameras, at least one of which has a resolution of 50 MP.
The smartphone will be available in India from August 21 and, according to a leak, the price will be the equivalent of around $178. Information on a market launch in other regions is still pending.
