Samsung is projected to introduce a new Slim variant to its Galaxy S series of flagship Android smartphones in 2025. It might have the same up-to-date Snapdragon 8 Elite platform as the S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra, yet have the least thickness of its line (as the name suggests) in order to compete with and possibly pre-empt Apple's plans to do the same with the iPhone 17 "Air".
The "Galaxy S25 Slim" has been rumored to debut alongside its more traditional siblings on January 22, a date also projected to be announced soon as that for Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025. However, that might not be the case.
Android Authority now claims to have torn down and analyzed the latest One UI 7 beta, or preview build for Samsung's next major mobile device OS upgrade, and found no mention of the "SM-S937", or S25 Slim.
By contrast, the SM-S931U, SM-S936U, and SM-S938U (or US versions of the S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra respectively) are all specified in the build: a stronger potential indication of an earlier launch.
Accordingly, this new leak might be the best evidence yet that the S25 Slim could replace a successor to the S24 FE (now available for $595 on Amazon) in Samsung's 2025 global product cycle.
It might still enjoy some hype during the next Galaxy Unpacked launch nonetheless, giving fans to brace themselves for how much it might cost in the meantime.
