The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim started off as a distant rumour, and now, it is widely believed to launch as the fourth member of the Galaxy S25 series. An earlier rumour said it would launch later in 2025. But, a new report from South Korean news outlet Fnnews (H/T @Jukanlosreve on X) says it could arrive earlier.
The Galaxy S25 Slim will apparently debut alongside the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra. In South Korea, it is slated to hit shelves on February 7. That date sits in line with information leaked earlier by Evan Blass about Galaxy Unpacked. The event is scheduled for January 22 and a two-week gap between an announcement and the launch sounds accurate.
An earlier report said the Galaxy S25 Slim would be around 6.8-6.9 mm thin. While it is undoubtedly a commendable feat of engineering, thermals might be an issue, especially if it uses Qualcomm's power-hungry Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Moreover, Samsung plans to fit it with a top-of-the-line 200 MP camera sensor that will definitely come with its own challenges.
