Most industry publishers from South Korea rely on "the industry" for their information, which means that the latest data from the two media outlets FNnews and ETNews likely stems from insiders in the supplier industry or Samsung's partners. The data recently provided by FNnews is particularly exciting.
Galaxy Unpacked Event time
It was already known that Samsung would be holding its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025 in San Francisco, but there have been differing statements about the date. Some claimed it to be January 22, while others said January 23. According to Fnnews, both dates are probably correct, with the reasoning that the Galaxy Unpacked Event will take place on January 22 at 11:00 am California time, which corresponds to January 23 at 3:00 am in South Korea.
Availability not until February 2025
The report also reveals when pre-orderers will be able to get their hands on the Galaxy S25 at the latest: availability is supposedly planned for between February 4 and February 7, 2025, which is a little later than the Galaxy S24, which went on sale on January 31 of this year.
More RAM in the Galaxy S25
Last but not least, ETNews once again confirms previous leaks that Samsung is providing the Galaxy S25 with more RAM. All storage configurations of the S25 Ultra (256 GB/512 GB/1 TB) will come with 16 GB RAM, while all storage configurations of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will have 12 GB RAM, according to earlier information.
