New tablet from Xiaomi: Hints of Redmi Pad Pro with Keyboard case and Smart Pen emerge

Xiaomi is apparently working on a new tablet for its Redmi brand. This can be concluded from entries at various certification authorities. As TheTechOutlook reports, the Redmi Pad Pro Keyboard and the Redmi Smart Pen were found in the database of the Arabic TDRA.

Both products are mentioned by name. The model numbers 24042KBD5G for the Redmi Pad Pro Keyboard and 24048MP07G for the Redmi Smart Pen are also mentioned. These model numbers had also previously appeared in other sources and certification authorities, such as SDPPI, FCC, IMFA, and NRRA. Thanks to this information, it is known that the Redmi Smart Pen is equipped with a 3.85 VDC lithium battery, while the Redmi Pad Pro Keyboard is said to measure 10.9 inches.

Two possible conclusions can be drawn from the name of the keyboard case: Either Xiaomi is planning several keyboard cases for tablets, and this is the "Pro Keyboard", or it is more likely that the company is planning to launch a new tablet - the Redmi Pad Pro.

This would expand the Xiaomi brand's tablet portfolio, which currently consists of two models. The potential Redmi Pad Pro is likely to be positioned above the debut tablet Redmi Pad (starting from 200 euros at Xiaomi) as well as the newer and more affordable Redmi Pad SE (from approx. 200 euros at Xiaomi), both of which come without a case and stylus.

Not much information is currently known about the supposed Redmi Pad Pro. It is said to be equipped with a pill-shaped camera module and possibly measure 9 inches. More information about the Redmi Pad Pro is likely to emerge in the coming weeks. In any case, it is clear that Redmi is preparing to launch a keyboard case and a stylus for tablets.
